In 2010, Plastic will be made illegal.
Supermarkets, and shops, and other industrys that use plastic, will have to use cardboard or paper for their packaging. This includes delivering products in cardboard delivery boxs, and also the iterms themselves, for EG. mars bars and Snickers will have paper packets, and so will packets of penuts, and tubs of ketchep, and other things like that. Or large plastic boxes of biscuits will now have to go in a tin or cardboard box.
There will no longer be toys made for kids, and other products such as CD boxes and other household items, made from plastic. Plastic is not good for children, as they can swallow small parts, and other household items are not much good either since plastic can break so easily. These items in question will be made of another more suitable material. In the olde days, kids played with wooden toys. They will do again. CD cases can paper/cardboard, and every other item too, if it's made of plastic, we will get rid of it, and find a better material! As for wooden toys, this wood will come from a carefully monitered tree farm, where trees are grown especially for their usefulness.
Addditionaly, every street in every town will have a recycle bin, with places to put paper, glass or tin. Some shops will also have these bins esp. corner shops // conveniance store so that every neighbourhood will have access to a bin. We will be taking on new recruits in the waste disposal industry who collect everybodys rubbish weekly- these new recruits will have a new job. This job is that they will have to check everybodies rubbish each time they collect to make sure the people are not throwing recycleble items in their ordinary rubbish. If they are, the items are returned to the house where the culprits live, with instructions to recycle their rubbish properly.
This way, the Government will hope to cut down on rubbish and re-use resources that would cost a lot of money otherwise, also: so many trees are needlessly dying. And so much paper and cardboard is needlessly thrown away!! We can save more trees this way.
So, from 2010, it will be illegal to own, use plastic, buy or sell plastic. I will be taking these reports to the Prime Minster, and I think he'll like my plan. :)
